In 2023, one of our team here at Riley, Damon, went over to Colombia to check out some of the farms we get our coffee from. One of these farms was in Timaná, Huila and it’s this month’s single origin.
The coffee farm Damon visited is a family show, owned and operated by a father and his two sons. They have six hectares of land that they grow coffee on, and work with their wider family and other locals to harvest the coffee cherries by hand.
Damon has roasted this coffee to really bring out the flavours. We brewed with a Chemex and found this to be a unique coffee – light floral aroma with a sweet jackfruit flavour. If you like black filter coffee, this one is for you.
