Last year, Damon from our team headed over to Colombia to visit some of coffee farms and meet the growers. One stop was Timaná, a small town in Huila – and that’s where this month’s single origin comes from.
The farm Damon visited is run by a father and his two sons. Together with their wider family and local community, they look after six hectares of coffee trees and hand-pick every cherry. It’s proper family coffee, grown with care and a lot of hard work.
Back here in Aotearoa, we’ve roasted this lot to highlight its best flavours. As a black coffee it has a delicate floral aroma and a sweet, jackfruit-like note. And with milk we found notes of milk chocolate and caramel.
This coffee is available until the end of September (or until it runs out).
We rotate a new single origin or special blend every month. Want to keep them coming? Set up a subscription and we’ll deliver fresh coffee to your door weekly, fortnightly, or monthly – whatever works for you.
